Creating a Safe and Successful Event Ideas
and Suggestions for Our Current World
It’s true…the global pandemic has changed how we stay connected with clients, organizations, colleagues, family & friends, but that connection is extremely important for our personal and business success. The Picnic Basket has created virtual and hybrid event packages that are designed to facilitate many different kinds of events. We strive to foster those connections and make virtual interactions more of an experience than just a simple video call.
VIRTUAL EVENTS: A virtual event is an evolution of the classic event, except it doesn’t necessarily happen in person. Innovative events require experienced, creative partners and The Picnic Basket will provide a delicious dinner, happy hour, or specialty package to your guests wherever they are.
HYBRID EVENTS: A hybrid event merges virtual and in-person interaction. This is perfect for when you want to gather people, but want them to maintain separate dining locations or social distance. We will prepare meals on-site and serve in vessels that can be taken to enjoy elsewhere-at a desk, separate rooms, venue with social distancing, or in a park. The menu is fresh & hot and served by our staff who follow strict safety protocols.
SERVING STYLES: We have been working with clients on innovative ways to make events happen with social distancing and creative serving techniques in mind.
SINGLE SERVING & GIFT PACKAGES: Most hors d’ oeuvres, entrees, desserts, gifts, and full meals can be packaged for individuals or in packages for small gatherings. From cocktails with friends, intimate dinners for the whole family, or Holiday dinner packages for the entire staff, we have suggestions for celebrating in style, no matter the size of your group. Consult with your event manager to discuss your vision and we will be happy to provide the perfect serv-safe package for your family, employees, fundraisers, or friends. We have an extensive “Portable Feast” menu as well as our “Holiday Offerings ”to help you with plenty of options to celebrate safely
SERVING GUESTS: Buffets are still very popular as well as hors d’ oeuvre stations. Food items must be served by our professional staff. This method keeps guests from handling multiple utensils and interacting at close proximity. Guests are staggered in groups of 10 or less when visiting the buffet or station.
STAGGER GUEST ARRIVAL TIMES: Instead of inviting all of your friends, staff, or VIP’s all at one time or even on the same day, consider breaking up the “big party” into several smaller soirees in which guests arrive at staggered times or even over different days.
MICRO EVENTS: An event or wedding that is facilitated on a smaller scale, is a micro event. Many wedding couples have re-imagined their reception with a limited number of guests, multiple courses, creative place settings, and marvelous décor, all done with style and elegance.
CHEF’S TABLE OR COOKING WITH THE CHEF: Enjoy an evening of creativity, conversation, and dinner in our kitchen with a “micro event”. We can provide a unique way to engage your guests and learn a few savvy kitchen moves from the kitchen team. We can host groups of 10-20 people with social distancing requirements in mind while serving in style. You and your guests will have the opportunity to create a gourmet dinner step by step under the direction of a professional chef. We’ll provide a take-home recipe booklet, kitchen materials, and guidance, as well as take care of the prep and clean up. After the meal is cooked, you’ll be able to sit and enjoy the fruits of your labor together.
OR, if you would rather relax, you can just sit, sip wine and watch as our team prepares and serves you and your guests a fabulous meal in our kitchen. Wine pairings, whisky, tequila, or scotch tastings available for additional entertainment value. These are some of the groups that have enjoyed this kind of event…Sales Incentives, Employee/Customer Appreciation, Fundraising, Team Building, Micro Weddings, Bridal Showers & Rehearsal Dinners, Birthday Celebrations for young and old, and Friendly Gatherings. Our best wishes go out to all of our friends and clients to stay safe and be well.
